VOICE DISORDERS(DYSPHONIA)
Simply, dysphonia is a medical term for a voice problem. Dysphonia can occur gradually over time or suddenly depending on the cause. Episodes that are occasional and mild often settle naturally with good vocal hygiene such as stopping smoking, keeping well hydrated, avoiding frequent throat clearing and avoiding straining.
GLOBUS(LUMP IN THE THROAT SENSATION)
A chronic cough is a cough that last for more than 8 weeks. It is essential that anyone who experiences a cough lasting for more than 8 weeks see a doctor to investigate the cause.
SWALLOWING DISORDERS(DYSPHAGIA)
Dysphagia is a problem with swallowing. The act of swallowing can be broken down into three key stages:
Oral (in the mouth)
Pharyngeal (in the throat
Oesophageal (in the oesophagus also known as the gullet)
INDUCIBLE LARYNGEAL OBSTRUCTION (LARYNGOSPASM)
Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO) is a disorder where the vocal cords may try to close instead of staying open when you breathe in. This squeezing makes the airway narrower and makes it harder to pull air into the lungs. Laryngospasm is the severest form of ILO when the vocal cords slam together suddenly, forcefully, and involuntarily and block off the upper airway.
CHRONIC COUGH AND THROAT CLEARING

LARYNGOPHARYNGEAL REFLUX(SILENT REFLUX)
Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) is the backflow of stomach juices (acid and enzymes) into the pharynx (throat) and larynx (voice box). This type of reflux is not usually accompanied by the symptom of heartburn and consequently LPR can also be referred to as “Silent Reflux”.
